Doodle Basket

This is a little twined bulrush basket I whipped up out of desperation over Christmas. I found the rushes in the ditch near my dad's place, and though it was the end of December, they were still perfectly serviceable as basket materials. 
I wonder if they'll shrink less, due to  lower winter moisture levels?
